WHY DID WE CREATE THIS PAGE?
When we chose the name PERSONAL MARBLE, the word Personal expressed unequivocally the way we understand our everyday work: behind every project, every company and every business transaction, there are people.
Over time, we realised that this idea was too important to remain implicit in our name. That is why we created this page.

Working with natural stone has never been, for us, about making quick and easy money.
Our starting point has always been to see our clients as the people they are, with their wishes and needs, their dreams and their projects; and to see marble as an essential raw material that Gaia, our Mother Earth, offers us with extraordinary generosity.
From there, with full awareness of its natural origin, respect for the environment, knowledge, experience and the human capabilities of the people who work with us, we cooperate in harmony and with dedication, guided by a simple and genuine purpose: to meet a need, bring a dream to life or contribute to the development of a major project.

As markets expanded, natural stone began to travel farther and reach more markets.
Over time, the range of natural stones available on the market expanded dramatically.
Along with new opportunities, the way people worked, competed and did business also began to change. But not everything that came with this transformation was positive.
THE PRICE OF MASSIFICATION: CULTURE, CRAFTSMANSHIP & VALUES
For centuries, working with natural stone was closely connected to territories, quarries, workshops, craftspeople and personal relationships.
There was time to visit, observe, touch the material, listen, learn, negotiate, build trust and share knowledge.
Globalisation expanded markets, increased opportunities and brought more materials, producers and clients within reach. But competition also changed scale.
As activity became increasingly massive and price became the dominant comparison, cooperation gradually lost space to competition, and time, learning, dedication and experience became harder to value.
When an artisan, a stone worker or a specialised professional disappears, more than a job can disappear: knowledge, culture, sensitivity and understanding of the material can disappear with them.
We do not idealise the past, nor do we reject progress. We simply believe that progress should not mean losing what still has value.
