Marble Slabs Production

From Marble Block to Finished Slab

The facilities and technologies shown on this page illustrate the industrial methods used to transform marble blocks into finished slabs. According to the material and project requirements, production is carried out in specialized facilities in Italy or Spain, under rigorous production and quality-control procedures aligned with internationally recognized standards. This ensures consistent quality, efficient logistics and reliable project execution.

Block Yard & handling

Every great project starts with selecting the right marble block.

The production process begins with the careful reception, identification and handling of marble blocks.

Each block is visually inspected and selected according to the specific requirements of the project before entering production. Heavy-duty overhead gantry cranes ensure the safe handling of large blocks while maintaining an efficient and continuous production flow.

From this stage onward, every block follows a controlled production process designed to maximize material yield, quality and traceability.

Optional Block Preparation

Only when necessary, the block is adjusted
before entering the main cutting process.

Before slab cutting, some blocks may require dimensional adjustment, squaring or localized correction. In these cases, diamond-wire cutting equipment is used to prepare the block according to the dimensions required by the production line.

This operation is not applied systematically. It is carried out only when the geometry, size or condition of the block makes prior preparation advisable, helping improve cutting efficiency, reduce unnecessary waste and optimize the usable volume of the material.

Block Cutting

Advanced cutting technologies transform each marble block
into high-quality slabs while maximizing material yield.

Marble slabs are produced using two complementary cutting technologies, selected according to the characteristics of each block and the specific requirements of the project.

Traditional BM gang saws, equipped with 100 blades each, ensure high production capacity and consistent quality.

Alongside them, modern ultra-thin diamond-wire cutting machines provide an innovative solution that significantly reduces material loss while improving dimensional precision and maximizing the usable volume of every block.

Together, these technologies offer the flexibility to produce a wide range of slab thicknesses while maintaining high production standards and efficient material utilization.

Resin Treatment & Mesh Reinforcement

Strengthening each slab while preserving
the natural beauty of the stone.

After cutting, the slabs enter dedicated resin and mesh-reinforcement lines designed to improve structural stability and prepare the material for the subsequent finishing stages.

Through controlled treatment, selected resins and reinforcing mesh are applied where required, helping consolidate the slab and support consistent quality throughout the production process. Dedicated ovens complete the treatment under carefully managed conditions before the slabs proceed to polishing and surface finishing.

Polishing, Surface Finishing & Integrated Scanning

Precision transforms every slab into a finished architectural surface.

After reinforcement, the slabs enter advanced polishing lines where the required surface finish is achieved. Depending on the project, different finishes can be produced while preserving the natural character and beauty of the stone.

Each polishing line is equipped with integrated scanning systems that support dimensional verification, surface-quality control and digital production records, contributing to consistent quality and reliable production management.

Special Surface Treatments

Specialized technologies create finishes tailored to the architectural vision of each project.

Certain projects require surface treatments that go beyond standard polishing. Dedicated finishing lines allow the application of specialized processes to achieve specific aesthetic or technical characteristics requested by architects, designers and clients.

These treatments expand the range of possible finishes while maintaining the same production standards and quality controls applied throughout the manufacturing process.

Automated Internal Material Handling

Technology also moves the material safely and efficiently throughout the production process.

After cutting, the slabs are transferred by a remote-controlled trolley system that connects the main production areas and supports the movement of the material through the subsequent processing stages.

This automated handling system reduces unnecessary manual operations, improves safety and helps maintain a continuous and orderly production flow from cutting to resin treatment, polishing and finishing.

Packing, Truck & Container Loading

Carefully prepared for safe transportation anywhere in the world.

Once production and quality controls are completed, the slabs are packed in specially designed wooden bundles to ensure safe handling and transportation.

Using dedicated lifting equipment, the bundles are carefully loaded onto trucks for road transport within Europe or into shipping containers for international export. Every loading operation is carried out with the objective of protecting the material throughout its journey to the final destination.
